Paleo Medjool Date Sesame Balls With Pistachios

These are Vegan and Paleo friendly date balls. A simple and easy to make recipe that will produce 13-17 paleo date balls. These date balls are a good snack or a great energy booster before your workout. You will need a food processor for this recipe as it will make your life a whole lot better.


1 tbsp. of Organic Coconut Oil (we recommend Trader Joe's coconut oil)
7 Pitted Medjool Dates
1/2 cup of sesame seeds
1/2 cup of almond butter
3/4 cup of crushed pistachios (we recommend crushing prior to putting into the processor)

All these ingredients can easily be substituted to organic if you would like. Trader Joe's has organic coconut oil and the organic almond butter. If you don't have a trader Joe's most local grocery stores will have the organic alternative.

Making the Date Balls:

Gather up all the ingredients and place them in the food processor. The hardest component is the pistachios so you will want to use those as your gauge on just how blended your mix is by checking them. You want a nice thick consistency. Once you you have mixed to desired consistency you will want to scoop about a tablespoon worth of date paste. Press and compact the paste and then roll into a ball, place onto a flat pan or baking dish. Keep making the date balls until you have used all of the mix.

At this time you can eat them directly, but in order to firm them up a bit place into the refrigerator for at least 20-35 minutes. These date balls will last several days in the refrigerator.
